Ian Fisher has over 30 years experience as a commercial property solicitor, and has spent the majority of his career advising medical professionals on all property matters related to their NHS practices.

Ian has deep expertise in all aspects of law related to surgery buildings and other primary care properties, whether these are structured as GP partnership freehold buildings, leased from PCTs or specialist developers, part of LIFT schemes or any of the other many ways GPs find to occupy the surgery.

Ian has worked on numerous major surgery and primary care centre developments throughout England and Wales, and was involved in developing some of the original standard industry documentation in this area. He has also worked on various hospital and nursing home constructions and property acquisitions with his previous firms.

Ian trained as a solicitor with Lovell White King, before moving to the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer where he was a Partner. Ian joined DR Solicitors in 2005 and is frequently called upon to talk on surgery development and NHS property law matters. He is the DR Solicitors representative at the Primary Care Premises Forum (PCPF), and in his spare time enjoys sailing, keeping fit, and travelling.
