Kirsty Porter is a Chartered Legal Executive with over 25 years’ legal experience, specialising in Data Protection and Privacy law since the introduction of the GDPR in 2018. A former Data Protection Officer and Certified UK GDPR Practitioner, she is known for her approachable, professional style. She has experience working with both private and public sector organisations.
Kirsty is passionate about data protection and information law and provides practical, commercially aware guidance across a wide range of regulatory frameworks, including the Data Protection Act, UK GDPR, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and the Environmental Information Regulations (EIR). Her expertise includes audit and compliance advice, the preparation of policies, procedures, and contracts, and the management of data subject access requests (DSARs) and data protection breach responses. Where required, she also delivers tailored, interactive Data Protection training sessions, both in person and online.
